Paromita Chowdhury joined Oak Foundation in 2012 as a programme officer to manage grants within the India Programme.
Prior to joining Oak Foundation, Paromita worked with CARE India and Oxfam Great Britain on issues of reproductive rights, economic justice, rights to essential services and gender justice. Paromita has been associated with social development for the last 20 years and has substantial experience of working across remote districts of India.
Paromita has a post-graduate degree in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Social Services, Ranchi (Jharkhand) and is a Packard Fellow on Population and Reproductive Health.
