Grantee Perception Report

08 July 2014

Dear Partners,

Thank you again for your participation in our Grantee Perception Survey conducted by the Center for Effective Philanthropy in 2011. Since that time, I have posted bi-annual updates on our progress to address the issues raised in the results of Oak’s Grantee Perception Survey, which can be found on our website.

In 2011, based on the results of the survey, Oak Trustees and staff identified a number of issues requiring further study and action in a plan entitled “Striving for Excellence: A Framework for Moving Forward”. The foundation has made significant progress in achieving those objectives. For more information, we have developed a detailed summary on what we have achieved and how our systems have changed since the beginning of this process.

This will be the final update on progress made towards addressing those issues. We plan to conduct a new Grantee Perception Survey in 2015 which will provide us with another opportunity to evaluate the impact we are having, assess our grant-making processes and make changes to improve our work.

Thank you again for your time and effort. We look forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Cravero

Oak Foundation President
