In the Oak Denmark Programme we focus on solutions that improve the daily lives and future prospects of socially vulnerable and marginalized groups. We especially focus on migrants and asylum-seekers, empowerment of women, house- and homelessness, violence in relationships and against children and adolescents, sex-workers and trafficking. Furthermore Oak Denmark supports projects in Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
The focus in Oak Foundation Denmark is to make a direct impact on people’s life. We hardly ever support conferences or scientific work though we acknowledge the importance of it. The strategy is furthermore a kind of triangulation. If possible we try to make grants focusing on the same issue but from different aspects in order to make a deeper impact. When doing so we partner with relevant foundations and organizations.
In 2017 the Denmark Programme made
16 grants totalling
USD 4.99 million.
