Bethiel Girma Holton joined the Learning Differences Programme as a Programme Officer in July 2017.
Prior to joining Oak Foundation, Bethiel spent eight years as the National Director of Student Engagement at City Year, an education non-profit focused on deploying volunteer AmeriCorps members to support students and teachers in America’s highest need public schools. While at City Year she led the design, implementation and evaluation of a research-based school culture and social emotional learning framework implemented in over 300 schools in 26 cities.
Bethiel holds a Master of Arts degree in Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences from Santa Clara University.
