To support the continuation of the project “Training child care professionals as peer coach-counsellors” in the canton of Fribourg. The project’s ultimate goal is to provide first-level professionals, who are in regular contact with children, with tools to enable them to strengthen their competences in the early detection of child abuse, and to enhance their interaction with specialised (second level) professionals when dealing with suspected cases of child abuse. Institut international des Droits de l’Enfant
To train lawyers, juvenile court judges and police from French-speaking cantons to help children who are victims and/or witnesses of abuse. This post-graduate training course aims to provide new knowledge on children’s rights, child development and the status and needs of victims of sexual abuse. It will teach the basic elements required to listen to children and to work on an interdisciplinary-based approach by promoting and intensifying collaboration among the various stakeholders. To support the expansion of the website “Pisourd” to the German and Italian speaking parts of Switzerland.
