To hold the US government accountable for the enforcement of both US domestic law and international human rights standards on behalf of victims of domestic violence and women who have been trafficked for employment. (Over two years)

To provide services to South Asian, Turkish and Iranian women in London who have been victims of domestic violence. To assist them with individual counselling and support groups, to raise individual and community awareness about domestic violence among young people. To educate professionals working in other social services agencies on culturally specific issues such as forced marriage, honour crimes and self-harm/suicide. (Over three years)

To strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations, specifically grassroots women’s rights advocacy organizations, in regionally and nationally coordinated actions to prevent human trafficking and gender-based violence in the former Yugoslavia. (Over two years)

Cepia-Citizenship, Study, Research, Information and Action
To provide training in Brazil to improve implementation of existing legal mechanisms to ensure that women’s human rights are respected. Trainees include governmental officers working in the security, justice, education and health sectors; NGO representatives; and media professionals from Brazil, Angola and Mozambique.
