To support a social enterprise providing work opportunities in Philadelphia for people facing barriers to employment. The grant will support core activities, enable Baker Industries to track long-term employment success, and establish an employment sustainment and career enhancement service. (Over three years)

To support an employment programme for homeless people in New York City. This grant will enable Bowery Residents Committee to support participants in their efforts to achieve more sustained employment and wage growth. (Over three years)

The Doe Fund, Inc.
To enhance the Ready, Willing and Able work programme targeting New York City’s homeless people. The grant will enable the development of a new dimension to the aftercare service, which will support programme graduates to earn higher wages and secure better jobs. (Over two years)

The HOPE Program
To strengthen HOPE’s work-readiness programme with a focus on job retention, career advancement and wage growth. To engage in systems change shaped by an in-depth study of employment barriers and an analysis of the support services that are most effective in countering these barriers. A new post of Retention Specialist will be created focusing on services and activities for programme graduates aimed at increasing retention rates at six months by 10 per cent and ensuring that 40 per cent of graduates experience wage increases. One Family Inc.
To initiate a support programme for One Family Scholars who have graduated. The grant will fund a combination of staffing and direct support for ‘Fellows’ and will promote career development and wage growth. The One Family Scholars programme in Boston supports homeless, formerly homeless and at-risk mothers who are completing post-secondary education degrees or certificates. (Over three years)

Project Place
To support the construction of ‘GateHouse’, a mixed-use building in Boston that will provide programme space for employment services for homeless people and affordable housing. The development will also include a commercial restaurant that will provide income to Project Place, and will embed the project in the local community. (Over two years)
