To take the good practice developed by the Cardiff Women’s Safety Unit and its partner HomeSafe and target those most at risk of domestic violence. The project provides security advice and equipment that ensures that women who have experienced domestic violence, and who wish to stay safely in their homes can do so. (Over three years)

HomeStart, Inc.
To provide a holistic eviction prevention service in Boston, Massachusetts, combining crisis intervention and on-going support. In addition, through a partnership with Greater Boston Legal Services, the project offers specialist legal advice and representation provided by the partner organisation. (Over three years)

Housing Rights Service
To develop a service in Northern Ireland to tackle the growing issue of homelessness as a consequence of debt. The project will provide representation for people facing repossession and engage in preventative work which will reduce the likelihood of people reaching this point of crisis. (Over three years)

Llamau Limited
To support a pilot project to demonstrate that local authorities could contract with not-for-profit organisations to fulfil their statutory responsibility to provide homelessness services to young people. The pilot will offer young people an appropriate, high quality and more holistic service. This demonstration will enable local authorities to confidently make the radical shift in thinking necessary to change the crisis-driven practice of placing young people in bed-and-breakfast accommodation. Shelter Cymru (Welsh Housing Aid Ltd)
To deliver flexible, swiftly employed and continuing housing support to people who use Shelter’s housing advice service. The project aims to fill gaps in the current provision of housing support and prevent repeat homelessness. (Over three years)

To support the Debt Redemption and Money Advice Scheme, which provides the underwriting necessary to encourage credit unions to lend to people who are higher risks and who have no history of saving. This project focuses on loans to prevent eviction and improve people’s housing situation. (Over three years)
