To conduct a survey with the involvement of all stakeholders to have more information on the situation of child sexual abuse and exploitation, to support counselling for sexual abuse victims and to strengthen the help-line service in Kampala. (Over three years)

Adama Child Focused Network
To support the Ethio-Child Focused Network to create a comprehensive child protection system in Adama Town, Ethiopia. The project will initiate child protection units, develop a free child help-line which will facilitate reporting of abuse incidents by children and adults. It will provide temporary shelters for both girls and boys, as well as appropriate medical and legal services for abused children. (Over three years)

ANPPCAN Regional - Kenya
To support a regional anti-child-trafficking programme in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Tanzania. ANPPCAN will conduct action research and, based upon these findings, develop awareness for border town residents, including children, while building the capacity of relevant government and community groups to prevent the problem and support the victims. To support ESSSWA in enhancing the capacities of its members to facilitate child-friendly service delivery to vulnerable children. These include: Addis Ababa University sociology undergraduate students and lecturers, social work graduate department students and, lecturers on the UN Convention on the Right of the Child, child protection and child sexual abuse and exploitation. To contribute towards the reduction in the rate of child sexual abuse and exploitation in Mwarazi and Mchinga villages in the Morogoro and Lindi regions respectively, as well as empowering the general public in Tanzania to take action to stop practices which subject children to sexual abuse and exploitation.
